Supporting Accessible Instructional Materials in Tennessee

State AIM Centers

Many states have established dedicated centers to provide information, training, and in some cases digital rights management of accessible instructional materials.   As the Tennessee Accessible Instructional Materials Center develops resources and training for AIM we hope to collaborate and learn from some of following organizations.

Virginia :  Virginia Center for Accessible Instructional Materials, Located at George Mason University.        http://kihd.gmu.edu/aim/

Indiana :  Indiana Center for Accessible Instructional Materials,  is state funded organization dedicated providing AIM for all qualifying Indiana students.  More information available at  http://www.icam.k12.in.us/

New York : The New York State Dept of Education has a variety of AIM resources on its webpage.  Some of the most useful resources are their decision making flowcharts for finding Braille or Large Print and Audio or Digital Text.   More information available at http://www.p12.nysed.gov/specialed/aim/
